Excerpt:

The light is fading. The bit of blue in the sky is gone, the wind picking up again. You should be back soon from Bart’s.

A taxi stops outside. I listen. I listened for months after you fell, hoping, hoping, strangled by hope. I hear the door shut, your foot on the stair. I glance at my laptop screen. I haven’t written much, deleted most of what I did write. It’s hard for me to tie this down in words. I was really just waiting for you to return.

Also posted on AO3. (A further set of coordinating photos may be found here.)

Title: John's Meta: Your Life and Mine
Author: [livejournal.com profile] saki101
Characters/Pairings: Sherlock/John, Mary/John, Sherlock/John/Mary, Sherlock/Molly, Sherlock/Janine, Sherlock/Irene
Rating: R
Genre: Slash
Word Count: ~1K
Disclaimer: Sherlock is not mine and no money is being made.
Summary: John reflects.
A/N: My amorphous musings about Series Three coalesced into this. Inspired by the many wonderful metas I've been reading, particularly Aderyn's His Not-Last Vow.

John's Meta may be read alone or in conjuction with Mycroft's Meta: Time to Choose A Side.

Excerpt: It’s like a story, your life and mine.

Of course, John, you’d say. A whole host of stories. You’ve been writing them since we met.

Also, on AO3.

Back in February, I posted a couple screencaps on mfu-yumdaily and entitled them Sleight of Hand. The pictures and the discussion they sparked formed the basic idea for a later story, Without a Word. They also sparked a little vignette which I didn't post at the time, one of those inside-Napoleon's-head ficlets set within the context of an episode I like to write from time to time. Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] utopiantrunks for encouraging me to edit and post it and for teaching me how to make a banner.

There are slash and het implications.
Word Count: ~700
Rating: PG-13
Episode Related: "The Foxes and the Hounds"
