Seven Book Cover Challenge - Day Five

A few days ago, elmey issued an open invitation to post covers of seven books one loves - one cover a day for a week. There is to be no explanation or review, just the cover. With each cover one is to ask someone else to take up the challenge. Rather than tag folks who might not care to do this or have already done this, I, too, am issuing an open invitation to participate to anyone reading who would enjoy doing so!



The title isn't very clear, so I'll add it here: The Golden Treasury - Palgrave

That's a beautiful book!

It is one of my darlings. I don't even keep it on a bookshelf, but have it on a mantelpiece with various decorative items, so I can see it and also because it's very easy to consult when it's right there!

That's rather splendid!

It's less splendid inside because it's a paperback that I had for decades that was coming apart, so I had it bound. That secured all the pages, but the paper was of that era that turned yellowish-brown after not very long.

I had made an attempt to buy a new one, but, it was a new edition with different poems, which I'm sure were grand, but I wanted the edition I had, with those poems, so this was the result!

I have an old (late 18th century) copy of Thomas a Kempis' 'Imitation of Christ' that I need to get rebound.

Yes! With beautiful flypapers. The ones in the book I did weren't as nice as I would have liked them to be.
