That would be a good idea for a conductor, but Pavel is the actor, one of only a few in the group formally studying drama. Kyrill is the conductor. (Almost surely this will be the story I'll be working on in July, so there will be a chance then to get re-acquainted with the characters. :-))

(You know, now I'm thinking of what a cool ability that would be, but that would have to be for another story!)
