The research continues... and so does the reason for having John there. Sherlock's need for him is developing interesting contours as it seems harder and harder to keep under control. And John is slowly gathering clues and starting to wonder.

Lovely, fluid descriptions, I love the way the library itself is taking on life. I can see the hands of the clock moving, the shadows creeping across the floor, young Sherlock running up and down the stairs--it's become a real character! It's clear why it draws everyone in the way it does too.
